SmartBackup is an inexpensive, fast and easy to use backup software for
Windows 7/Vista/XP.
Automatic and Quick Backups

SmartBackup helps you to select your important files for backup, which results in a short time needed for a backup. It automatically keeps your backups up-to-date and copies only files which really have changed since the last backup. There are detailed options to specify which files should be copied.
Synchronize and Save

SmartBackup allows you to synchronize your backup source and destination, which makes it easy to keep your data files and documents on your PC and your laptop synchronized. Save your backups either as a ZIP file or directly on your file server, external drives or on CD/DVD (no additional recording software needed).

  Quick and Automatic Backups
      Files which are already present on the backup volume and have not changed will not be copied. This results in extremely short backup times if backups are done regularly.
      SmartBackup is able to refresh a backup automatically in custom intervals like once a day, once a week or per Windows session

  Save Disk Space with Deduplication
      Revisions are supported. On NTFS drives, SmartBackup can perform incremental backups in combination with hardlinks. This saves a lot of disk space.
      SmartBackup can save your data as a ZIP file (at any compression rate)

  Easy to Use
      Explorer like user interface
      You can mark any file for backup from the Explorer context menu. This allows you to decide which files should be back upped while you are opening, saving or copying them, without starting SmartBackup.
      A search function for your hard disks helps you to find your documents and data files
      Files or folders can be restored using drag & drop in the Windows Explorer
      The directory structure is preserved on the backup volume

  Plan Sequential Backup Jobs
      Multiple backup jobs can be combined and executed in one sequence. After finishing the sequence various actions like "reboot" or "power off" can be performed.

  Synchronization and External Backup
      Replicate your documents and data files to a Notebook, a second hard disk or another PC in your local network
      Write your backups to a CD or DVD without any additional burning software.
